toddfmayParticipantIt appears random, but after building a post in Cornerstone I get pages not found when viewing and publishing – can see and view as drafts. But once published they become 404 page not found.
These are new posts – they in recent post posts grids
http://live-palmspringslife.pantheonsite.io/palm-springs-life/palm-springs-life-june-2016/But when viewed they are 404.
Sample: –

http://live-palmspringslife.pantheonsite.io/home-design/masses-appeal/All the posts under http://live-palmspringslife.pantheonsite.io/palm-springs-life/palm-springs-life-june-2016/ where created the same way – but 2 0f 11 in this issue are in this state.
In other issues/posts it appears to happen in every one of ten posts created.
Any thoughts?
Thanks- Todd

ChristianModeratorHey there,
Your Permalink structure is incorrect [/%category%/%postname%/]. I’ve changed it to post name only and now your posts displays correctly. You can’t use a category because a post can have multiple categories.
Thanks.

toddfmayParticipantUGH ok, we wanted the /%category% for SEO credit in URL – is this only due to cornerstone? I’ve used this structure before with no issues? And have many of the other posts that are working with /%category%/%postname%/]?

RadModeratorHi there,
Upon editing those posts, there is no way to change their permalinks. This only means that those links are overridden somewhere else. Like using post_link filter to alter the URL.
Would you mind providing your FTP login credentials in private reply?
For the meantime, you could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Thanks!

toddfmayParticipantYes I know when Christian changed the permalinks, it broke untold several internal links that had been created by the editors. Currently it remains as post title. I don’t understand why this happened on just 1 of ten posts with this permalink set up. FTP login is to follow. Todd

LelyModeratorHi Todd,
Thank you for the credentials. Upon checking, I can see that you have custom post type.
You might be having permalink conflict between custom post type and custom taxonomy in URL. Please check the following links:
