Michael CParticipantI have worked with X for years. I love the theme.
I just installed a new site. installed the new license. Installed the new child theme.
The child theme style.css does not work.
I have gone into customizer and put css there and they take without a problem. This is not my workflow. I do not wish to update css in customizer. I’ve been using child theme since forever to do custom css.
I do a ton of css overwrites. Please help me get this working.
The site is: http://silver.startheaters.wpengine.com/
Thanks,
Mike

FriechModeratorHi Mike,
Thanks for writing in! It seems you have a typo on your child theme.
.tooltip-button ( bottom: -50px; )And make sure that your selector, is more specific than the default. So it can actually overwrite the styling.
Hope it helps, Cheers!

Michael CParticipantWhere is the typo? What am I doing wrong? Sorry, but I’m having a hard time understanding your answer.
The particular selector (.tooltip-button) was just a test to see if the css was working. I have tried many, many tests with different selectors and none of them are working. The css doesn’t seem to be working at all.
Like I said, it works in the customizer, but not on the style.css of the child theme.
Please advise.
Thanks!

Michael CParticipantIt must have been “user error” on my part. I wish I knew what I was doing wrong. But it seems to be working now.
Thanks,
Mike
