JohnParticipantHey guys,
I know these are 2 really simple CSS fixes but I know you strive to make X as great as you can so I thought I would bring these to design… oversights to your attention for your review.
1) Large default gaps between sections. So out of the box a section come with a 45px pad on top and bottom, this in its self would be so bad but in like many cases (for like 9 of out 10 design treatments) one section is placed next to another section giving you 90px gap between sections out of the box. Now don’t get me wrong its not like this a HUGE deal, when designing raw pre css you can immediately see this gap is Wayyyyy to big.Especially when coupled with…
2) Cartoonishly large top and bottom margins around the headings. I’ve been working with x for like four years now and have used it on many sites..ALL (and I’m not kidding you on this) of my sites I have had to redefine my heading margins via CSS. The H1 on the custom headline is the worst offender with a margin-top of 1em, thats like obnoxiously too big. like .25em is a lot more feasible to my eye. Also I don’t think there is any area in the customizer that has a slider affiliated with this margin… Let me know if there is a setting that I have overlooked it plz
And I’m not trying to climb on a high horse here or say “change the whole theme for my design tastes!” cause the truth is you guys are doing so many things right with the product its easy to see the small areas of easy improvement that could just help it be a touch more accessible right out of the box.
All my best,
John
