    Hi there,

I understand this may be caused by plugins, but for every upload, 17 different image sizes are created. I manually set my images at 1200×630 for social media reasons. I am assuming my revolution slider resizes this through CSS, as with the Grid.

I cannot find these instructions in my functions.php to remove them, so only the image i upload is uploaded, not 17 other versions.

    Any ideas? Thanks.

    Hi Kade,

    Thanks for posting in.

What sizes are those? Please note that those generated thumbnails and images are just okay, they aren’t loaded all the same time. Each image is generated for the specific purpose and only loaded when called. For example, WordPress has its own default sizes, the theme has its own registered sizes, and of course plugin could have their own image sizes too. Removing sizes may affect some feature that is dependent on it. The 17 count is just small compared to a site that has multiple render type of images.

They are pre-generated by WordPress to load it faster, instead of generating it on every call.

    Thanks!
