    Hi,

I have several pages at my site like http://www.adagiodistribucion.es/nord which have a Slider Revolution with a Youtube layer which when clicking it, it played the video. Now for some reason the layered video/s don´t play anymore.

I have recently installed W3 Total Cache, I don´t know if it could affect this, but I tried disabling Minify with no results.

Can you help me out with this issue, please?

I´ll give you my login credentials in the next message.

    Regards.

    Hi there,

    I see following error :

Failed to execute 'postMessage' on 'DOMWindow': The target origin provided ('https://www.youtube.com') does not match the recipient window's origin ('http://www.adagiodistribucion.es').

You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Please try to add youtube file URL.

    e.g : https://youtu.be/XF34UZgYAyQ

    Hope it helps.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your help.

First of all, I could check the issue is the poster/thumbnail image remains over the video after clicking on it and starts playing. But the video plays actually, as it sounds if having audio.

I have deactivated all the plugins except Cornerstone, Slider Revolution and Contact Form 7, and the issue is still there.

When loading the page http://www.adagiodistribucion.es/nord I get no errors in the console, but when clicking on the video, 2 errors are shown (see the attached image).

If typing e.g : https://youtu.be/XF34UZgYAyQ, I get the error you can see in the attached image.

I hope it clarify things to solve this issue.

Anyway, maybe I´m doing wrong and embedding a video within a layer is not the right way. What I need to do is show the video in full width (no borders within the slider), and it cannot play automatically when loading the page, so it would be perfect also that it shows a centered play button like I show you in the 3rd attached capture. Is there another way to do that?

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

Have you tried a non-youtube video? Basically, adding https://youtu.be/XF34UZgYAyQ will automatically set the video format to “video/youtube” which is non-standard for most browsers. It’s only good with chrome or safari.

Though, I’m not seeing the error displayed from your screenshot. What I’m getting is this attached.

Could you try another video hosting that offers “video/mp4” format?

We can continue once this is setup 🙂

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    Thank you for your help.

I´ve tried it from another HTML5 video layer, entering the Youtube URL and another Vimeo URL. In both cases I get errors like “the video/youtube or vimeo attribute is not allowed, load failed.”

With that type of layer I can see the centered play button, but when clicking it, the videos don’t play. I guess it´s for uploaded videos within the WP installation not external media.

Another issue is, no matter the position (up or down) the text layer, it doesn´t show up anymore with the HTML5 video layer.

You can see the attached images.

Anyway, no matter if it works with another providers or files, I need it to work with Youtube videos as all of them are stored in Youtube channels.

Have you noticed Slider Revolution is 2 upgraded versions ahead that the current within X? Maybe they are issues already solved in these updates.

Please, if needed ask another colleagues about these issues as I currently have my customer asking and getting nervous why all his videos stopped working. I guess you´ve tried to play the slider video at http://www.adagiodistribucion.es/nord and see what´s happening.

    Thank you very much.

    Hi there,

We’re supports from a different part of the world, and another support may handle it with different IP. So, we’ll just going in circle 🙂

And there is no way I could make 1500 requests per day when I only checked the error in about 3 to 5 mins.

Would you mind disabling the banning/security while we’re testing it?

    Thanks!

    Hi Pablo,

Sorry, but it still displaying forbidden message.

    Forbidden

You don’t have permission to access /nord on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache Server at http://www.adagiodistribucion.es Port 80

    Thanks.

    Hey Pablo,

This might be a problem with caching. I removed the poster image > save > re-enter the URL then updated the video settings again and your video works.

    View post on imgur.com

Please clear your browser cache or history also.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Thank you for your help. But as I see also in your attached video-capture, you have completely removed the actual poster-image.

I have entered the poster image again and the issue is still there as you can see: no play button, the video is not shown (even though you click on the poster image and it begins to play as it sounds), the poster image is stuck all the time, and also the “Nord Stage 2 EX” band is not shown up.

Also if selecting “Full Screen Mode” the video doesn´t fill up all the slider like it did before, it shows the black bands at it sides.

Could you please check how to fix it up?

    Regards.

    Hi there,

There are recent issues related to youtube. It seems like it no longer accepts postMessage to a non-https origin.

The error you’re getting is cross domain issue where your slider is trying to send post message to mute or set the volume to the video, but it fails. Other arguments like the loop aren’t working anymore without specifying the playlist ID too.

I created a sample here http://www.adagiodistribucion.es/video-slider-test/ and seems to be working fine on my end (video and poster image). But still has errors as described. All we could do for now is forward this to Rev. Slider plugin developer.

    Thanks for understanding.
