X PRO Ethos 01

Hi. My question is this: is there any video where it is explained how to make the website look like Ethos 01? My Home page already looks like this, but I can’t create a new page and have all the blogs and articles one below the other as shown in 01.

Hi Artur,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Those are the blog posts in Ethos demo you see, If you add a new post, it will automatically be displayed on your homepage. i checked your site and I see you’ve turned on the filterable index, please note that enabling the filterable index will bypass the standard output of your blog page, allowing you to specify categories to highlight, to show all of your posts, make sure to enter the correct IDs of the categories you want to showcase.

If you want to make a post featured, then edit your post in WordPress post editor, under Ethos Post Settings, enable Index Featured Post Layout (see screenshot)

Hope this helps!

On my homepage, everything works, but I don’t know how to do it on my new pages. My website is lightenel.com. I added two new pages “Dining room & living room” and “good to know.”
These two pages are empty, and I want to know how I can add a few articles so that they are one below the other with the photo to the left and the text to the right as shown in Ethos 01.

Hi Artur,

Your home page is a blog index page and it’s not something can be added to other pages. And it’s only specific to Ethos stack, it can’t be duplicate to standard page.

What you can do is use grid plugins like these
https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/extension-the-grid/74,
https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/extension-essential-grid/68,

But again, there is no way you can do it identical to the home page since that feature is only specific to Ethos stack. It’s possible to create similar look within the templates but it would require custom development which we can’t provide here in the forum. I recommend contacting a developer for identical customization.

Thanks!

Thank you! I’ll do that

You’re welcome!

Cheers.

Hi, one more question. A friend of mine wants to edit the HTML code for me but we don’t know where to find the place to edit it.

Hello Artur,

Which part you want to edit the html? Would you mind providing the code and the area where you want it to display?

Thanks.

Basically, I want to copy the part of my home page where it displays all my blogs posts and paste it on a new page called “Dining room & Living room”.

I’ve added a child plugin to edit the “Dining Room” page files, now the only problem I have is finding which file it is, I have like 200 files to choose from and I have no idea which one it is.

Hi Artur,

Please check these https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/how-to-upload-xtheme-to-child-theme/43246/2, https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/customizations-best-practices/205 on how it should be customized. One template could be compose of multipl template parts while following the correct folder and template hierarchy. I’m not sure what specific part you’re trying to copy so I’m not really sure which template. But, the blog index template (or your current home page) uses the index.php template including its sub-templates. Perhaps, you could follow that template and views until you find the template file.

But you said pasting it to your new page, I assume it’s another template then that would require more customization. As long as the template structure, hierarchy and folder structures then he should be fine

Thanks!
