Word Press doesn't recognise activation code!

Hello,

I recently purchased X theme and when I installed the theme into my WordPress, it comes up with the following error:

“Uh oh, we couldn’t check if this license was valid.”

I’ve typed the purchase code out perfectly, but still keep getting this error message.
