Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! Header and Footer builder is only available in Pro theme. I have checked your site and you are still using X theme. If you already uploaded the Pro Theme, you will need to activate it first before seeing the Header/Footer builder features.

Just one question on the child theme. I have installed the pro theme on a site and added the code in the article to the child theme. https://www.velocitywebsites.co.nz

Should I delete the old X? and re-activate the child theme. ?

Yes, you can delete the X theme.

Before activating the child theme, please edit the style.css file locates in your child theme a bit:

and then deleted the old x. But it broke my child theme and it came up with an error saying no supporting theme.
I then uploaded the new xpro child theme and with a few minor tweaks it appeared to be ok but I ma having speed issues.

So i added back the old x theme and activated the child theme. Now I have two htaccess files and am confused.
Is it safe to delete the old X theme this time. Have I added the correct code above. How do I activate the pro theme again to work with the child

This is what I have added to my child php file. Something not right because when I activate the child theme it reverts back to the old x theme

Hey @VelocityWeb,

You will need to have child theme as well as parent theme, Please install/upload child and parent theme and activate child theme.

If you want to use PRO theme then add PRO parent and child theme and activate child theme. You can find PRO child theme here : https://theme.co/apex/child-themes

Just apply modifications to PRO child theme.
