Validation Issues

Hello, I’m trying to activate my X Theme, but I always get the same error: “Could not establish connection. Please ensure your firewall is not blocking requests to theme.co

I have reviewed several forums and I have verified that everything that is requested is correct:

I followed the recommendations that are given in the forum: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-validation-connection-issues/201

and adding & force-check = 1 & x-verbose = 1 I can see the following:

array (0) {
}

I have also added the following lines in the wp-config.php:

add_filter (‘https_ssl_verify’, ‘__return_false’);

add_filter (‘https_local_ssl_verify’, ‘__return_false’);

And nothing.

I have spoken with my service provider to verify the following:

? theme.co should not blocked,
? allow_url_fopen should on,
? cURL support should enabled,
? OpenSSL support should enabled,
? secure connection (https) should enabled.

and they indicate to me that maybe it could be for the following, since the rest should be ok:

secure connection (https) should enabled.

The problem is that this is an extra payment service.

Is it not possible to activate this without having to have contracted this?

Hey There,

To assist you better with this issue, would you mind providing us the url of your site with login credentials so we can take a closer look?

To do this, you can create a secure note with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password

Thank you.

No problem, the link is:
http://coelloseleccion.com/
and the wordpress admin username are in the secure note

Hi There,

Thank you for the credentials, the issue is your license is for PRO, but the theme that you’re using is X, and on top of that your X Theme is outdated (3.1.1), you’re going to encounter a lot of incompatibility issue with that.

It’s either you update the X Theme or Install and use the PRO theme instead. But since your licenses are PRO then you need to go to the path of using PRO. Either way, this is going to be a handful of work, so I advise you to duplicate your site on a staging server this way your live site won’t have a downtime while you start the updating process on the staging site.

Or if you’re not comfortable doing this updating process, you can seek help from a developer to help you on this, you can find an X developer on the X Theme users FB Group.

Hello again, I updated the license to PRO yesterday, because I thought it was an improvement of the X theme, but I could continue using it and activating it as well.

Is it possible to go back to the license of X theme, to not have these disadvantages?

A greeting.

Updating the issue, I have already been able to activate the license without any problem, it is no longer necessary to change the license type from PRO to X at the moment.

Thank you very much for the help.

Glad you were able to figure it out :slight_smile:

Cheers!
