Validation failure. Little grey box appear instead

I entered my license key in wordpress but nothing happens except for the little grey box that pops out of the license key input box

Have you already set your license to your production and or staging website?

Thanks for writing in!

​To validate X properly, please do the following:
1] Please login to your account and assign the license (https://theme.co/apex/licenses).

You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address

2] Go back to X > Validation, and insert the license code.

Still grey box appear. Still not validated.

I upgraded to the new version but this came out

Then when i click details this shows up

No working transport found.

I first checked the domain assigned to your license and I saw you assigned your domain both as Production and Staging. That is not necessary and it causes validation issues. This is not the cause for this case though. Read on.

After I removed the Staging assignment, I tried to validate your site and I got this.

That is a hosting issue. Please follow the possible solutions in our guide here: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-validation-connection-issues/201

Please follow everything in the troubleshooting guide especially the “contacting your web host” part.
