Updating X Theme messes up site

I am running wordpress 4.8.2 and want to update X theme from 4.6.4 to 5.1.1
After the update and reloading the site is gone and shows only this message: Stylesheet is missing.
What could be the reason? Only Solution is to revert back to our latest backup.

There are few solution for this kind of problem:

  • Check the link below if you are using a cloudflare and W3 total cache plugin.
  • Check the link below if you have not updated properly,
