Hey, I saw this post a while back:

And was wondering what line of code was added to include the custom field within the “Filter” section of “Filter/Sort” within The Grid plugin.

As mentioned in the thread you already linked to, the request is considered as custom development and out of our support scope.

It’s a bummer that the meta_key_names can only be used for sorting, and not filtering.
