Is there an easier alternative for the Slider Revolution? I have tried for day snow and I just cannot get it to look the way I want it too and it is SO complicated, plus I cannot activate anything without purchasing another license. I assumed it was free?

Yes, you are right. The plugin is bundled in the theme. You can use it for free. Any features that are not available in this bundled plugin is exclusively available when you purchased a separate plugin license to unlock it. If you are having problems setting it up, you might find LayerSlider easier. Please go to X > Validation > Extensions and install LayerSlider.
