"Read more" in text element

Hi there,

I’d like to add a text-element with a quite long text in it, so after the first 10 lines, there should be a “read more” link, that shows the rest of the text without loading a new page. So the text should already be loaded, but beeing hidden.

Is there a way to solve this with PRO?

Hi Uli,

Thank you for writing in, the closest element you’re looking for is the Accordion Element, but that is design to have a headline, not first 10 lines.

You might want to follow the solution provided here instead.

thank you for the hint, WP Show Hide does exactly what I need.

I think this would be a function, that many users may expect beeing a part of PRO - I really don’t like to install a new plugin for such things - it makes the page slow and it’s going difficult, if there are no updates of such plugins.

It would be great, if you could ad this to the PRO wishlist.

Hi Uli,

Yes, it’s been added as feature request but there is no news about it yet. Usually, it needs a wrapper that will act as accordion but not styled. Hence, the same workaround is using accordion as suggested.
