Plugin confilict envira and essential grid

hello,

Envira lightbox is not working properly when an Essential Grid element is added to the same post. Lightbox opens as expected but when I try to close it it freezes. no closing or navigation possible anymore. refreshing or browser-back-button takes me back to the site.
On posts without EG envira lightbox works fine.

I read that had happend before (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/envira-gallery-conflict-with-essential-grid/28138?u=overheadonline).

Is there a solution yet?

Thanks

Hey @OverheadOnline,

I see this has been fixed. Please ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

If everything’s up to date, please try the following:

  1. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  2. Remove custom CSS, Javascript and templates.

If nothing helps, we’ll post this again to our issue tracker.

Thanks.

Hi @christian_y thanks for your answer,

It’s a new site I set up yesterday with a fresh theme-download from your site, so all data are the recommended versions.

What I tried:
I deactivated all third party plugins, issue persisted. Then I deactivated EG and envira lightbox worked as expected.

then i deactivated all plugins except eg and envira. porblem persisted. after deactivating eg the gallery lightbox worked.

I removed all custom-css from theme options, created a new post without any templates or presets and just put an envira and an eg element on the site. issue still there. after deactivating eg, lightbox worked again.

then I deleted all eg database tables (I imported some skins and grids) but without any change in lightbox behaviour.

Is there anything else I can try?
thanks

Hi There,

I have checked our issue tracker and this issue has been fixed with the release of v1.8.0.

Since you’re testing it on a recent X theme installation, could you please try re-setting your WordPress installation using this plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-wp-reset/). This will reset your current database and then try re-testing your issue.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Hi there,

just finished the process. after sql dump I reset the database and then only activated eg and envira. Issue persists.
Since the probem remained I imported the “old” database again.

Hi @OverheadOnline,

Please get back to us with the URL/User/Pass of your website using a Secure Note. Follow the steps below so that we can test the case on your installation:

  1. Create a new Envira Gallery
  2. Create a new test Page and add the Classic Envira Gallery element and select the gallery.
  3. Send us the page name

Make sure that the version of the Envira Gallery and the Essential Grid is the same as this article.

Thank you.

Thank you

pls find secure note in the comment above.

Hi,

Thank you for providing your login credentials.

I tried to access your site but I can’t seem to login.

I am getting this error.

Your login page looks corrupted too.

Please try re-uploading your wordpress file using FTP.

Thanks

On my end it works and looks perfectly fine.

I’ve been doing some server-heavy work on there so i guess it was temporary. Pls try again.

Hi,

I am still getting this error and could not access your wordpress dashboard.

When I try to edit the Envira test page I am getting this.

See Video - https://www.screencast.com/t/BvigCTdO3ABW

Thanks

Don’t know whats going on there. I tried it on 2 different computers with different browsers and it worked fine.

Hi @OverheadOnline,

Been trying it too on different devices and internet and it’s the same. Perhaps your site has country restriction and it redirects to another page? But unfortunately, the redirect caused issues on our end.

Thanks!

Hi,

thats possible, thanks. I’ll look into that.

Let us know how it goes.

Cheers!
