Modern Events Calendar not working mobile

Hello,
I’m having the exact problem as described in this post:

I’ve gone through the troubleshooting steps. Still struggling to find a solution. Most of the plugins are currently deactivated.

The page is anthonyporterbasketball.com/schedule

Much appreciated,
Mark

Hello Mark,

Thanks for writing in! Could you please update to the latest versions?
Our latest versions are:

  • Pro theme 2.5.4
  • Modern Events Calendar: 3.4.6

This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).

_After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.-

Please let us know how it goes.

Hi @RueNel,

I’ve updated Pro, MEC was current with 3.4.6. After clearing all caches I am still not seeing any changes.

Hello @xpndpossible,

This could be caused by a 3rd party plugin. You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

If the issue still exist, please re install X theme and Cornerstone. There might be some files that were corrupted. You can review our update guide and see the Manual Update section to re install X.

Please let us know how it goes.

Hi @RueNel,

Thanks for your help. I’ve deactivated all of the plugins - they are currently deactivated - outside of a few that have all ready been tested with.

I don’t remember when this issue started but it has been almost 2 weeks now that I have spent some time going through and deactivating plugins…

I just updated Pro a few hours ago… so that should be good, right?

I don’t do much with javascript and css.

Hi @xpndpossible,

I could see a lof of JS errors related to the Revolution Slider plugin in the console log:

Please navigate to Slider Revolution > Global Settings then turn on/off these options:

Let us know how it goes!

Hi @thai,

Thank you. Yes, I had noticed those javascript errors and also played with those global settings prior as well. I went and turned off all of the settings, and although turning those settings off does correct the javascript errors, it doesn’t resolve the issue…

I use MEC on other sites that use all of the same plugins, pro theme, etc. almost identical set up but no issues…

Hi There @xpndpossible

It’s hard to troubleshoot your issue on your live site, as it will affect to your site visitors. I would suggest you to migrate a copy of your live site into a different server and test. You can use a free account of this service (https://pantheon.io/) and then follow our migration guide here to setup a copy of your site. Once you have migrated your site, try testing your issues further.

In case if you cannot isolate the issue on your test site, provide us with your login credentials of your test site in a secure note, so that we can do some further extensive testing.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Hello,

I set up a copy on Pantheon. Login credentials will be provided.

Hi @xpndpossible,

It appears it has broken contents as I checked it here https://validator.w3.org/nu/?doc=https%3A%2F%2Fanthonyporterbasketball.com%2Fschedule

Please check these other related threads
https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/very-strange-error-in-pro/52579/8,
https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/glitch-in-cornerstone-column-width/54003/2,

First, please find the culprit from your added contents and fix it. Not all errors are needed to be fixed, and the error you have to fix are always related to stray element, tag that violates nesting rules, and unclosed elements. And sometimes, one error could lead to hundreds and fixing the first error would fix them all at once. I recommend starting with the first error related to stray element, tag that violates nesting rules, and unclosed elements.

Then make sure to only display one calendar instead of two. You have displaye done calendar for each device (larger and smaller device) but they are just the same calendar. You should disable the hide during breakpoint options from your sections and just add single calendar. The calendar itself has responsive view for smaller devices.

Thanks!

Hi @Rad,

Thanks for the help. The real culprit was found with the extra calendar on the page. Thanks for pointing that out. Since removing one and using a single calendar all is functioning as it should.

Much appreciated!

Hello @xpndpossible,
