Mobile site down (PHP error)

Hi,

The mobile version of my site is down. It shows there is a fatal error. My site hosts says it is due to the Cornerstone plugin. A PHP error is listed on the website when it is accessed from a mobile device. The current PHP version is 7.0.33 with this version almost all of the plugins and themes are compatible.

How do I fix the problem, please?

Thanks,
Petro

Also, all plugins and themes are updated.

Hello @Petro,

Thanks for writing in!

Could you please update to the latest versions?
Our latest versions are:

  • X theme 7.0.4
  • Cornerstone 4.0.4

This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

And since you are using SiteGround, could you please clear your site cache or temporarily disable the supercacher in your hosting panel? The SuperCacher is developed by SiteGround exclusively for their customers. It increases the number of hits a site can handle and boosts the website loading speed. The SuperCacher includes 4 different caching options for maximum optimization of your websites. You can access the tool by clicking on the SuperCacher icon in your cPanel.

For more information about this, please check it out here: https://www.siteground.com/tutorials/supercacher/supercacher_intro.htm

Please let us know how it goes.

Hi, its still not working. Both the XTheme and Cornerstone have been updated to the most recent versions. Supercahce has been disabled. My site host flushed the server side cache. My own site (ww.50liters.com) had all caches purged (I use W3 Total cache). I’ve also checked the site on a mobile device via kproxy.com - the same message appears: Fatal Error, stipulating the Cornerstone plugin. I have checked different serves on different devices.

Hello @Petro,

Thanks.

Hello Petro,

It looks like this issue is caused by a third party plugin that is specifically for the mobile like WPTouch. Can you please try disabling that plugin then check again?

Here is a related ticket that has the same issue caused by a plugin:

Let us know how it goes.

Hi Jade,
Yup, that did the trick. Once I disabled the WPTouch Plugin the mobile site is up again.
Thanks.

You are most welcome!
