Missing a recurring event from Modern Events Calendar

No idea how this is happening…

I’ve got events to disappear 2+ hours after they start. I have my time zone set. But for some weird reason, all recurring events show but the very next day is missing. 2/12 should be showing here and only 2/11 and 2/13 and up show. It’s 2/11 now. Tomorrow is 2/12 and no event. So weird.

Highly confident this is a bug. When I toggle “Include Expired Events” on it solves the problem but of course shows past dates. So for some reason it thinks today is ok, tomorrow is not, but the next day and on are fine when Include Expired Events is off. This cannot be by design.

Thanks for writing in! Upon checking, I was able to locate a similar issue that another user experienced which is due to server time zone issue (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/modern-events-calendar-hides-recurring-events/41449).

Could you please try installing this plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-serverinfo/), then head over to Dashboard -> WP Serverinfo area and check Server Date/Time and see if that is set correctly. If not, you need to set your timezone under Settings -> General area on WordPress.

If you’re still having issues, provide us with your WordPress login credentials in a secure note to check your issue further.

My server time is set properly. The code is the issue. It makes no sense that today shows, tomorrow doesn’t, the next day shows and so on. I’ve turned past events on and the problem is solved. Why the skins open to the beginning of the month and not on the next event is beyond me however. This plugin is gorgeous, but really clunky.

Hi Eric,

I checked the Modern Tribe forum and they do not have such a problem reported. The closest thing that I have found is this:

Which is the same point with the WordPress timezone general settings. At the moment, kindly keep the past events available.

We will be in contact with the plugin developer to see if they have such a report.

Thank you. But do note that Modern Tribe makes a different product with a similar name called The Events Calendar. This is the Webnus product Modern Events Calendar.
