Menu not displaying as a dropdown in widget area

hello i am adding a menu to a widget area and i want it to be a dropdown but it is displaying as fully extended with no dropdown.

Shouldnt a menu become a dropdown automatically if the children are set in theme x ?

Yes, but not if put in the sidebar.
I checked and it seems you have found plugin that works for you

I am trying to recreate that in ubermenu do you know how to have a vertical menu with dropdowns i can not work it out

FYI that wasnt the referred menu but I built it with uber menu as suggested

that is pretty much what I want to achieve with different styling which I can do fine it is just the vertical with dropdown that extends the menu does not seem to be usual for ubermenu

Before you can use the menu in the sidebar, you will have to set it up as a vertical sidebar.

thanks for the help one last thing with uber menu how do I add the responsive toggle that expands the submenu if you click and changes to an upward arrow and if you click again it collapses

please look on this page http://x.aiadstaging.com.au/projects/rodburn.com.au/ I want to have the toggle on the right same as the bottom menu. pretty much want to have a dropdown split with the menu link going to the category page and the toggle always expanding sub menus

I’m not sure if I understand it correctly, do you mean making it like an accordion-like the menu below it? Please provide a mockup design as confirmation of what you wish to achieve. But if yes and that’s what you’re trying to achieve then it’s not currently possible, the feature is only limited to what Ubermenu given.
