Low Mobile Speed

Hi There

I appear to be having low a low speed score for my website https://estuaryclinic.co.uk for mobiles (16%) and fine for desktop (97%).

Am I using your theme correctly, is there something I have overlooked. Are there any settings within your theme I should be playing around with to make it better for mobile phones??

I had the following feedback from ‘pagespeeds insight analysis’:

Eliminate render-blocking resources
-Resources are blocking the first paint of your page. Consider delivering critical JS/CSS inline and deferring all non-critical JS/styles. e.g …flick/flick.css?ver=4.9.8(estuaryclinic.co.uk)
Defer offscreen images
-i.e. Consider lazy-loading offscreen and hidden images after all critical resources have finished loading to lower time to interactive. e.g …01/HOMEOPATHY-EXETER.jpg(estuaryclinic.co.uk)
Defer unused CSS
-i.e Remove unused rules from stylesheets to reduce unnecessary bytes consumed by network activity
e.g…css/syndication_bundle_v1_7338528….css(ton.twimg.com)

Thanks in advance

John

Hi John,

I did a test on GTMetrix and the PageSpeed Score is F:

The recommendation is about the Optimize Images, Browser Cache and Defer Parsing JS.

You should try to install the W3 Total Cache plugin to fix the Browser Cache and `Defer Parsing JS issues:

To optimize your images, you can try with these plugins:

Hope it helps
