Help with X Pro to Pro conversion

I’ve read the article about converting from X Pro to Pro and have uploaded the Pro theme. I’ve yet to activate it because I have a child theme and I’m not sure how to access and change the style.css file. Can you please help with this?

Unfortunately setting up the Pro theme would fall outside the scope of support we offer. I suggest you to refer (also mentioned in the ticket) again our theme update guide from X to Pro. Regarding CSS, Pro Theme has it’s own child theme that you install and move all the custom CSS from X to Pro. You can download Pro child theme from following source. https://theme.co/apex/child-themes

I also suggest you to setup staging server to convert from X to Pro before doing the same on live site. If any issues comes up you can troubleshoot without affecting the live website.

Hi there,

You must install a new child theme (an empty) to make sure it’s working. Then from your old child theme, move the customization you’ve done one by one if you have existing customization. Any customization could break your site, so it’s recommended to add them one by one while testing, so you’ll know which custom code causes the issue.
