First off, X-pro is amazing! I love using it. I’m finding myself wishing that X-pro gave the option of seeing the page html for editing the head and page structure. I can imagine this could present lots of ‘breaking the app’ situations, but is there a way to do something like this? Or to at least edit the head.

If you would like to make code level changes, then you can do that from Appearance > Editor. You can also use FTP programs like Filezilla to see the files in more accessible manner under /wp-content/themes/pro/. However, before making any template changes I suggest you to install and setup child theme. I am sharing few resources that you can use to download and setup child theme.
