Fullwidth Image

Hi! I’ve had this question for a while.

I currently use Pro and I also downloaded Elementor to try and experiment a little with building pages. I’ve achieved something with Elementor that I haven’t figured out how to recreate in Cornerstone and I’d like to know if there’s any wat to achieve the following:

I want a Fullwidth Image that covers all of the screen (kind of like a full width intro image but I followed the steps on that thread and it didn’t work for me). If I build a page with Elementor, in page attributes I put “Elementor Fullwidth”. I then go to the builder, upload the photo and in the layout options, the Content Width is Full Width, there’s no column gap and the height is fit to screen. I’m attaching a photo so you can see the final result (hope it uploads properly). (Edit: It didn’t upload properly, so, here’s a link to the image: https://imgur.com/a/89ce2VU)

So I would like to have a fullwidth image like this, but only using Pro and Cornerstone. Is there any way to do it? Or is it done only via a custom CSS code?

Thanks for your help!

Hello @erwinanjc,

Thanks for asking.

As of now Elementor and Cornerstone are not backwards compatible, which means that pages designed using Cornerstone can’t be edited in Elementor and vice versa. You will have to redesign the page layout in Cornerstone.

You can definitely have full width image. An easy to use option would be installing Revolution Slider plugin from Pro > Validation > Extension. https://revolution.themepunch.com/full-width-wordpress-slider/

If you want to make the changes using Pro Theme header builder and content builder then please take a look at following threads:

Thanks.

Hi.

I know about Elementor and Cornerstone not being compatible. I was trying out Elementor as it seems that I’m able to achieve what I need with the image with that plugin. I was just figuring out if I could do the same thing with Cornerstone. But at the moment, it appears like I can’t.

With the answers you provided:

I don’t want to do it within my header, as I’m creating as part of a page.

And within the content builder, if I follow what you posted, this is the result: https://imgur.com/a/56DAzEj . It’s not fullwidth.

I’ll try out the Revolution Slider. It seems like the compatible option with Cornerstone. If not, I’ll just leave the fullwidth image created with Elementor as the front page and build everything else with Cornerstone.

Thanks for your help.

HI,

To make it full width, you need to select a No container Template and turn off inner container for your row element.

Then set your image width to 100%

Hope that helps
