Featured image on blog posts

Hi, is there a way I can select to show the featured image on blog posts on a post by post basis? For some posts the images look good at the top, but for others it doesn’t. I’d like to be able to turn that off on some blogs. Can you help?

Thanks!

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! You can hide the featured image on any post using it’s post ID e.g try adding the following code in the Theme Options > CSS:

.postid-1510 .entry-featured {
    display: none;
}

To find out Post ID’s please see https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-how-to-locate-post-ids/59 you can then replace postid-1510 with actual Post ID in the above code.

If you would like to learn CSS, I am sharing few resources that you take a look to get started with CSS and an interesting tool that you can use to speed up the development process.

I recommend you to watch following video that will help you to get started with CSS.

Sometimes it can get a bit difficult to find out the right selector to be able to write the required CSS codes. A handy tool that can help you in this is Google Chrome dev tools. I am sharing the resource that you can refer to get started with dev tools.
