Error with cornerstone + essential grid

Hello

Can you please help me understand where to get support. I have cornerstone and essential grid which has been working fine. I just changed the order of a blog post from 2 columns to one column and now the essential grid information is all wonky - the excert that is being pulled read: {{children}} Welcome H{OM}E. {{base64content “PGRpdiBjbGFzcz0ieC10ZXh0IiAgPjxwPlNhbWF0dmEgWW9nYSwgZXN0YWJsaXNoZWQgaW4gMjAwNiwgc2V0cyBuZXcgc3RhbmRhcmRzIGluIHdoYXQgeW91IGNhbiBleHBlY3QgZnJvbSBhIHlvZ2Egc3R1ZGlvIChob3QgKyBub3QhKS4gT3VyIGJlbGllZiBpcyB0aGF0IGFueW9uZSBjYW4gcHJhY3RpY2UgeW9nYSBhbmQgZ2FpbiBwb3NpdGl2ZSBiZW5lZml0cyBmcm9tIGl0LiBXZSBmZWF0dXJlIDIgbG9jYXRpb25zLCArNzAgZHJvcC1pbiBIb3QsIFJvb20gVGVtcGVyYXR1cmUsIEZhbWlseSArIFN1c3BlbnNpb24gWW9nYeKEoiBjbGFzc2VzIHJ1bm5pbmcgd2Vla2x5IGZvciBhbGwgZXhwZXJpZW5jZSBsZXZlbHMuICA8L3A+CjwvZGl2Pgo=” }} Registration Open.

When i paid $50 for renew of my support with EG they replied:

"Hi jaime,

Sorry for the delay here due to weekend!

I’ve checked your gird in the preview and it is working fine but it more it seems to me an issue with the cornerstone so please can you contact the plugin author and they will guide you further with the resolution.

Waiting to hear from you :slightly_smiling_face:"

Where do I go to get help? This is just a forum…

My Message to Essential Grid about the issue:
"Hello. I have been using essential grid for a few years now. I rebuilt a page using cornerstone – literally jut moved some test columns and headers and now my grids are now displaying all sorts of weird text.

This was the original style and I have left these pages like so until I can fix the issue: http://yogasamatva.com/events-programs/prenatal-yoga/

THis is the new style and it is creating all sorts of weird pull from “excerpt” words in two different grids i am using: http://yogasamatva.com/events-programs/baby-me-yoga/

I have attached a screenshot of both sliders

#1: http://yogasamatva.com/ [ess_grid alias=”root-events”]

#2 http://yogasamatva.com/events-programs/ [ess_grid alias=”post-events”]

I’ve never had this issue before. I cannot figure out what is triggering it……can you please help me. I didn’t adjust anything in the grid setting or skin, just made the page from a 2 column to a 1 column and just moved text……it is stumping me and now I have to pay another $50 for support :slightly_frowning_face:

much appreciated"

Hi @samatvayoga,

Thanks for reaching out.

I can confirm this in one of the grid items though, I can’t find anything wrong from the front. Would you mind providing your admin login credentials in the secure note?

For the meantime, please check for the following first:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

  2. If you’re using a caching plugin, clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugin and other optimization plugins.

  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Thanks.

I have added login details to the secure note i initially submitted

Hi @samatvayoga,

Thanks for the credentials, I have check the site and see MYSQL v5.5.34.

Since you’re on latest Wordpress and plugins. Please upgrade your MySQL version to 5.6 or greater, as a requirement of Wordpress.

You can forward this letter to your hosting provider as is (from that URL).

I’m interested in running the open-source WordPress <https://wordpress.org/> web software and I was wondering if my account supported the following:

PHP 7.2 or greater
MySQL 5.6 or greater OR MariaDB 10.0 or greater
Nginx or Apache with mod_rewrite module
HTTPS support

Thanks!

hello

the upgrade is complete…the errors are still there :frowning:

Hello,

Upon checking, I don’t see the issue anymore in the pages you’ve posted. I don’t see any base64 error both in the builder and in the frontend. Please clear your browser’s cache then check again.

Thanks.

so i have cleared and the grid is still doing the same thing. Essential grid peeps said it was a cornerstone thing. http://yogasamatva.com/ you need to scroll to the second group of the events on this page…eg: {{children}} Marc LeBlanc + DJ Tigerstylz… in the DJ groove one…etc

Hello @samatvayoga,

We are only seeing one grid in your homepage.

And by the way, please be advised that we no longer have any grid preview when editing a page in Cornerstone.

Hope this helps.
