Custom CSS gone after updating to Pro

Hi there! I just updated my x theme to pro and my custom css is gone, all of it. I was using a child theme, I’ve changed the code on my child theme css file to /* Theme Name: Pro – Child Theme Theme URI: http://theme.co/pro/ Author: Themeco Author URI: http://theme.co/ Description: Make all of your modifications to Pro in this child theme. Version: 1.0.0 Template: pro */

But nothing has changed. I used the customizer to add all my custom css and now it’s empty. What can I do? The website is drlivinghome.com

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! Where did you added your custom css? In the Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS or in Appearance > Customize > Custom > Edit Global CSS? You may need to revert to the X theme first, copy the custom css and then switch back to Pro.

Hope this helps. Kindly let us know.

I added it in Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS
So I just activate the x theme again and the custom css will reappear?

Hey There,

Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS is WordPress active theme custom css. You should be able to access your custom css again once X theme is activated. If you are using X theme, you should place the custom css in Appearance > Customize > Custom > Edit Global CSS so that when you install Pro, you can access it in Pro > Theme Options > Global CSS (http://prntscr.com/evui3r).

Please let us know how it goes.

Hi again! I did as you told me and it worked a treat, thank you so much!! One quick question. Now that I’m using the Pro theme, should I setup another child theme?

Hello @MariaTM,

Thanks for updating the thread.

It’s always a good idea to setup child theme in case you wish to make changes in child theme. You can download Pro Child theme from following source.
