Is it possible to add the shop ability to the premade education theme option?

Thanks for writing in! Yes, it is possible. Make sure to download the latest X compatible WooCommerce version (3.3.5) from the following link (https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce/advanced/).

Thank you! I have a client who is having build his site but will want it later to include the woocommerce. Should I download that and build with it in place, but hidden? Or add it later on?

Well that’s totally up to you, wether or not you want to build shop section now or when requirement comes up. As it’s a client website, personally if this website was being developed by me, I would wait for the time till client gives me the green signal to start working on the shop functionality. Customer (target user base) requirements and preference change, so as a store owner we have to flexible enough to introduce new features and function to comprehend the same. So, let’s say you develop the store using WooCommerce today and later on clients ask you to work the shopping functionality but the requirement that’s shared with you is completely opposite what you already developed, that mean loss of work hour and effort and you can’t expect client to pay for the same.

So my personal advice would be to wait till client ask you to start working on the shopping functionality and then you start working on the same.
