Woocommerce category page is covered

Hello,
Previously, the background of my theme layout was black. I switched to white. My woocommerce product category pages work fine on both the desktop and mobile viewports - for a day.

But for some reason, the product category page is now not working on desktop viewports. Please see screen shot. All the words are hidden. But they are visible on mobile viewports. Would you be so kind to let me know what may be the cause?

Hi @iamwithU,

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked and found that the custom CSS written into the Theme Options > CSS is the reason behind your issue. It set the background color black and that is why the text in the same color is not visible. Please remember that we don’t offer any investigation or support on custom coding-related issues, I would request you please check the Theme Options settings and the custom codes before you post a new ticket.

Thanks

Thanks for the quick turnaround and uncovering the problem.

I did check the background settings. I have to say in my 6 years with themeco, you’re the 1st support staff to say something like that. If I had known the issue myself and known how to check custom codes, I wouldn’t have reached out for help. It was precisely I thought Themeco’s theme was suited for laymen that I decided to tap it.

If the problem is massive and needs resource that Themeco can’t afford, I can understand it.

Do note that I also want to learn and be empowered along the way so that we don’t have to disturb you all as far as possible, That is why I’m constantly learning, including from the exchange with your colleagues. I have had excellent support from Themeco all along, and would shrink from ditching Themeco just because of one staff. Is it ok I let other staff handle my queries? I do enjoy working with several of your colleagues to find solutions in this journey. I had such a great experience with Themeco in the past. Appreciate your attention, @tristup

Hi @iamwithU,

There is no problem if you have any issues with CSS or anything else that is not possible to find. We can help you out on that, but the custom CSS code is beyond the scope of the Theme Support. In that case, you can learn CSS or you can hire a developer who can assist you on this or you can avail of our newly launched service called One, where we answer the questions beyond normal theme support.

Hope I am able to clarify.
Thanks
