Woo commerce shop page password protection enabled but not working

Hi,

I have the native wordpress password page protection enabled but it is not working.

Any help is greatly appreciated

The page in question is only set as Private.

Hi,

I had set it to password protected and it didn;t work. i set it to private to see if that made a difference and that did not work either.

did the privacy setting work for you when you tested the page?

I have it set back to password protected now. The password is christmas

Hello Brent,

Even if you added a password or set the page as private, since you have assigned it as your Shop page, WooCommerce took over and override all those settings. It is considered as public page since it is a shop page.

ahhh… that makes sense. I googled this issue before i submitted the ticket but was unable to find that bit of info.
