Updating CS and X-Theme site broken down

Hi there,
please help me, my site is down. Monitor is white. What I did:

  • updated Cornerstone, that went along without problems
  • updated X-Theme. Wordpress says, Update is not successful, the old theme could not be deleted.
    Nevertheless WP says afterwards: all themes are updated, all is fine.
    No… My site is down, the monitor is white.
    I deleted CS (and don’t know how it will reinstall itself). And X-Theme is not listed in the dashboard sidebar anymore. Wordpress says it is my active theme though.

Please help… my hair is getting greyer from minute to minute :disappointed:

Everything should be fine now.

I’ve manually updated your X theme and Cornerstone plugin.

Hey Thai,
overwhelming good news - my site is back to life :sweat_smile:
In future, should I update X-Theme first and Cornerstone afterwards? I was wondering whether the order matters or could cause problems.

Hi Karen,

That is correct. If there is a new release for X and Cornerstone, it would be best to update X first.
