Hi there,

That code is just a javascript and shouldn’t cause any freezing.

I’ll continue checking, does this happen before? Or is it only present in this staging site? How about trying it on a different host for staging?

I installed a new copy and it load and works, but just once. The issue is back after reloading, then I deactivated ninja form and it works again. Then the issue is back on every page reload. It feels like your site is unable to handle the theme and plugins at the same time, those other themes like twenty-fifteen is an empty theme, hence, it’s a bit faster to load but still slow. How about contacting your hosting provider and see if you can get any error or information? It’s like there is a problem with your host environment.

Hi. I got this information from the host:
jquery.js som hänger sig.

Which means jQuery.js is freezing.

Does it makes sense to you?

Should we try to remove the jQuery code that we added?

Hi there,

You may remove those jQuery codes and I already tried that as part of testing, but the jQuery code that you added is different from jQuery.js that you’re referring. The jQuery.js is the library built-in to Wordpress core, which can be used by any plugin, or theme, or code.

Hence, it’s not only your code that is using the jQuery, it’s your entire site. Like a simple animation needs jQuery.js. What’s needed to be done is find which code is causing the jQuery.js to freeze.

They only told you that since they aren’t sure either, it’s the same as returning the question to you as you need to find it yourself :slight_smile:

I’ll continue checking, I’ll let you know if I find something. Maybe if you can have different staging to another host then I could use it for comparison.

Ok.
I turned the question back to them to see if they can find what code is causing the problem.
On this site: www.samverkanmotbrott.se I have the same site. The plan is to move the domainadress from this site to the preview site (the one with the problem) when having moved all of the material to the preview site.
Samverkanmotbrott.se is also built with X which works fine. You can, if you want to, log into www.samverkanmotbrott.se/wp-admin to compare. I’ll post the login credentials in a secure note.

Hi there,

Looks like you really need to move out from that faulty staging. It’s the one that slows it down, shall we continue with the original issue? Or do you still wish to continue the troubleshooting on freezing issue in that old staging? Maybe some scripts are blocked by it which causes some scripts to loop and freeze.
