Structure data in testimonial rich snippet tool

Hello,

Using the testimonial tool and finally getting an hang of it. I’m using it for a Schema type: “Review” and putting in the item name etc. When I run the google rich snippet test I get 3 errors of missing data. (Link in secure note).

I have filled out the authors name as you can see in the screenshot (secure note) but for some reason the structure data test is failling with no author.

Just wondering how i can resolve these 3 errors with x that googles structure data tool gives?

Hey @fxground,

I followed your setup and I got the same result or errors as you. The issue stems from the Review type. It’s not an Organization.

For more details on what to use or allowed, please click on the button beside the Type label.

Hello,

it helps with the clarity of it… but are you saying that this one element ONLY works with organization? Because when I click that arrow you did, that is all it seems to support. What about all the others? I mean something as basic as “Product” ?

Hey @fxground,

Regretfully, it currently only supports Organization. You can actually use Product but then the Structured Data test would require additional things which you can’t add as the element does not have an interface for them.

I’ll post this in our issue tracker so this will be queued for review by our development team and maybe they can provide more feedback regarding this topic.

Thanks - please do. Just odd the button is called “testimonials” and there is an option for “schema” but you can’t even use the testimonial schema… :slight_smile:
