I am optimizing the x theme but i do not know how to specify a cache validator for the .ico favicon ???

It seems to be correct, the icon mime-type is included in it. Have you tried contacting the W3TC plugin author? I’m not sure how their optimization works, but based on your provided data, it should work.

Could be the position of the .ico favicon ? I mean the folder in which appears ? i have it the image folder of wp

Hi there,

It’s shouldn’t because the cache validator is optimization related, it is configured for file types regardless of its path or URL. It’s best to contact the plugin author as I’m not really sure about it too, maybe they can provide some workaround.
