Hey there, I’m working on a project with slides that have orange, gray, and white backgrounds. I’m trying to get my nav buttons (on the top and bottom) to be white on gray and orange backgrounds and gray on white backgrounds. I tried the difference trick from the slider course, but I can’t quite get it how I want it. I also tried increasing the luminosity of the orange color using HSL and then making the button’s mix-blend-mode luminosity, but presumably because of the stacking context, it’s not interacting with the slide backgrounds. Ideally, I’d like to be able to manually override the color of those buttons based on which slides are current, but I’m having a hard time figuring out how to do that. Any directions I should investigate?

Regretfully, there’s a known issue with the stacking of the Mix Blend Mode effects. It only currently works within the element.
This is already in queue to be investigated by our development team.
There’s no workaround currently.
