Showcase Thread (Official)

Thanks CrossTown, correct me if I’m wrong, I think the Elements tab doesn’t appear for creating/editing “Headers”, only for “Content”. :frowning:

This is a small two-page site that was put up in a few hours.

Plugins:
Gravity Forms

Thanks @CrossTown for jumping in on this! @Integratutions, you’re correct, the elements tab is only for pages, not for the Header of the site.

@stevewoody82 What are you using for the login page here: https://robertastylelee.co.uk/login/ ? Is it part of Ultimate Member?

That’s not the WP login and it looks like a different form type, too.

This is a site I build for our latest film. I am not a web designer, but I love using theme x for all my projects.
I would love any feedback or suggestions for improvement.

Thank you!

Love the flexibility of the theme something rare for wordpress themes.

So this might be a slightly more unusual site. I am a Danish magician, and have been for the last 10 years. I have used the X theme to create a site where I can showcase my skills and hopefully use to get show bookings.
I have been extremely happy with the flexibility of the X-theme to let me create a site in the exact manner I want. Combined with Cornerstone it has been and continue to be a thrill to work with.

Hope you like the page, and if you have any feedback, it would be really helpful!

Thanks,

Interesting way to display your website images for a portfolio… I like! Did you use a special tool for this or just Photoshop?

I have recently updated to Pro for my sites. I followed the initial advice of setting up test sites on sub domains and had no end of difficulty in setting up one test site, although it is working now finally. After all that work so that I avoided the risk of breaking live sites, everything worked flawlessly when updating them all.

I have mainly been concentrating on functionality over design, but now need to start work on everything looking really good. So many options in Pro! It will take a while to get to grips with, but loving the potential!

Kind of nervous to share but here’s my first real job using X Pro.

Notes: I have been slowly trying to build my portfolio and this is the first real business website I put together. Still learning how to make Pro more responsive, the next website I’m building for a food truck I hope to improve on that.

Constructive feedback on design is always appreciated. Thank you.

Notes: Just gone live. I had the same design on my old website for 4 years, built with Elegant Themes. Thought I’d give X-Themes a go, and it was generally a pretty fun experience. Like all these website building themes there is a lot you can do with them, and somethings you can’t. But the great thing about Wordpress is that there is always another way/plugin to help achieve what you want. I did like the Header Editor with Pro, a very powerful tool.

I created and edited the site on a spare domain, then once finished copied it over my old website. Went pretty smoothly. Can’t thank SiteGround enough, as they did it all for no charge (moving from my test domain to my live domain)

Here are a couple that we feel turned out really well.

We don’t go crazy with plugins for appearance. Pretty much stick with stock X plus Contact Form 7 (and Flamingo and Postman SMTP), Layer Slider, the Grid, and Envira Gallery for appearance stuff. There are a few things that run under the hood for optimization, though.

We’re going to stick with X for now. The header and footer builder in PRO aren’t quite powerful enough to do what we want just yet, so we just modify a child theme. They have a ton of potential, though.

Also, probably the wrong place for it, but we would love to be able to nest a row (and columns) into a column like so.

x-section-1
    x-row
        x-column-6
            Content
        /x-column-6
        x-column-6
            Content
            x-row
                x-column-6
                    Content
                /x-column-6
                x-column-3
                    Content
               /x-column-3
               x-column-3
                    Content
               /x-column-3
          /x-row
       /x-column-6
    /x-row
/x-section-1

It would look something like this

Thank you!

is there a template that you used to make that long scrolling homepage with the stationary image?

The site looks great!

I used the integrity demo on x, and then recently updated to PRO to create the new header.

Sean

could you tell me the elements that you used on your homepage? I’m new to pro theme, i like the page builder and get the sections and stuff, but there are so many elements i’m not sure which ones do what.

Thanks!

A website I made for a fitness center with 7 locations. First time I ditched Rev Slider in favour of LayerSlider, recommended. After some tweaking I managed to get it all responsive with as little excess elements as possible. Still working on a workaround for the ‘Meld je aan!’ subscription form which is custom made and has some errors in it. It prevents the header bar from showing when scrolling. I had a solution for the Jquery script (putting it in the JS section of Pro) but that broke the form.
