Pro License validates but does not stay validated

Just launched a site from staging to live and had to reapply the license key due to the domain change but it won’t stick. Will say it’s been validated with a congratulations message but on page reload it still says it needs to be validated.

I have already done the following:

  • cleared caches
  • deactivated all plugins
  • removed and reuploaded manually

There appears to be a few threads with the same issue but all have been fixed by sharing creds and having Themeco log in to take a look, so I will include those details below, just in case.

I went ahead and login to your website then validate it. After entering your Pro unlimited license code, I don’t see any issue on validating your website.

Would that have just been a weird cache issue (even though I purged them before contacting?)

It seems it has something to do with your server and our server communication issue when you try to validate it. But in the end, we’re glad that it is now validating properly on your end.

There might be a few different reasons for this issue, I would suggest you troubleshoot the common issues related to the Product Validation

  1. Location Issues
  2. Communication Error Messages

If none of the above helps, please create a new thread and provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Admin URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

NOTE: It has been also found that your website URL is redirecting to the language subfolder, in that case, you need to add that full URL with a subfolder in the Location

Now it works! Thank you! WPML set the root permalink /de/ that was possibly the cause. Deactivatibg all plugins did it!
