Portfolio lightbox strange behavior on mobile

Hi ThemeCo!

Could you please take a look at our lightbox images at the bottom of this page?

On mobile it behaves very strangely. Also when you attempt to zoom in while the lightbox is open, the whole page stops responding. On regular desktop browsers it acts just fine.

Thank you in advance!

David

Hi David,

Thanks for reaching out.

In your lightbox shortcode, could you try setting deeplink attribute to false? It’s the common cause of freezing and performance issue of the lightbox.

Thanks and let me know

Hi Rad!

It did not seem to help. When you try to zoom in, it goes haywire ;).

Also the slider does not display the whole image. It cuts off a piece of the image. Can you confirm that you experience the same?

David

Hi again,

I checked your setup and I see you’re using an outdated version of X and I see you’re still using X-Shortcodes plugin. Please note that in the latest releases of X, Cornerstone has taken over for X-Shortcodes plugin. When Cornerstone is active, X-shortcodes is no longer necessary so you can safely deactivate it and remove the plugin. You can learn more about this here https://theme.co/changelog/#theme-x-4-0-0

Please update your X theme to the latest version first then deactivate and delete the X-Shortcodes plugin and install Cornerstone plugin which is now a required plugin with X. You can find the latest version numbers here: (http://theme.co/changelog/) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.

If you find anything to be out of date, you can review our update guide.

I would recommend that you create a staging site. This is very useful because you can test drive any X or Pro updates in the staging area, do the customization and troubleshooting without disrupting your live site. Once everything is perfect, you can easily and flawlessly proceed the update in the live site. To know how to create a staging area, please check out these articles:
http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-create-staging-environment-for-a-wordpress-site/, https://maintainn.com/2015/02/how-to-create-a-staging-site-for-wordpress/

Taking a complete backup before any update is a best practice too so make sure to take a backup of your site first and then make sure to update both X and Cornerstone to avoid potential errors and conflicts,

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Hope this helps.
