PHP CPU High usage

Hi there, I am experiencing an overload in my server WHM VPS where admin-ajax.php is using a high CPU% causing the webpages to load really slowly (frontend and backend)

When I trace the process in WHM, I can see this:

I have since reinstalled and updated X and Cornerstone to no avail, this issue is still ongoing.

Will appreciate some insight on this. Thanks!
