Page Builder inside a modal content area

Are there any future plans to have a page builder option that can be used inside the content area modal? Or would global blocks allow for this?

Hi There,

You can achieve that using X Lightbox feature.

Create a page > ON WP Classic backend editor > under the blue update button > page attributes > page templates > select BLANK NO CONTAINER NO HEADER NO FOOTER

This will be your page which will be opened in a lightbox.

In the page you want to add the lightbox, you will add a raw code element and add lightbox selector, for example :

[lightbox selector=".btn-lightbox"]

After that you will add a button or image or link and add a class to it: btn-lightbox

You will link that to the page you previously created.

Let us know how it goes!

Hey there,

is there another way to achieve the same combination of Page Builder and Modal/Lightbox?

The [lightbox] shortcode will be blocked in both Firefox and Chrome, even on Themeco demo sites.

Thank you for a quick hint.

Hi There,

You can use ConvertPlus and it’s own builder which is quite straightforward also combined with shortcodes.

The lightboxes of X work flawlessly, I never heard such a comment about this issue, do you have any special blocker addons which might cause this blockage?

Let us know, thanks!

Hi @Joao,

thanks for the advice. ConvertPlus looks promosing, but I prefer to keep the plugins and extra files to ship on a very limited level - just PRO ideally…

Concerning the issue with [lightbox]: I’ve disabled Adblock Plus in both Firefox and Chrome, but no change. More observations:

  • There’s no error or warning in the both consoles when clicking on the corresponding images.
  • Firefox wrongly interprets some part of the lightbox script as the outdated Adobe Flash plugin and asks me to allow execution of it. “SWF” is somewhere included in the script, as I’ve seen.
  • Chrome version: 63.0.3239.132
  • Firefox version: 58.0.1 (newest)

Hope this helps.
Thanks for your support!

Hi Martin,

Can you please check for the following first:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See for more details.

  2. Clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugins and other optimization plugins.

  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  5. Remove custom CSS, JavaScript and deactivate your child theme and switch to parent theme.

Hi @Nabeel,

sorry for the misunderstanding, in my report above I was kindly referring to the demo sites: and

Hey Martin,

Our demo works in Chrome and Firefox. Maybe it is not AdBlock that is conflicting with our demo. Please deactivate all other extensions then check again. If that does not help, maybe there’s something in your system that is causing the issue. Also clear your browser cache and check incognito.
