Ongoing browser cache issues in Cornerstone

I’m having problems editing pages in all browsers. Every browser is caching my edit pages, which means I’m getting random page loads depending upon the browser and time of edit.

Firefox refused to load an updated edit page which was created yesterday, instead presenting me with a new page edit in Cornerstone (asking me to start from scratch, use a template etc).

I switched to Chrome and made one change successfully. Once saved it refused to show me the latest edits so I had to switch to Edge to complete the edit.

I have made an exception in my caching software to not cache anything with /cornerstone/.

Hey @demonboy,

I tried using different browsers to edit one page and the content is updated all the time. The page is not cached. Note that after editing in one browser, I reload the builder in the other browser to get the latest content from the server. I’m using the latest version of Pro without any customization and with no 3rd party plugins and If you’re not reloading the page then that could be the reason why you’re seeing outdated content thinking it’s cached.

If we don’t receive reports of the same issue, this could be happening in your browsers only. There could be a program on your computer that causes this issue. Please try testing in a different computer and also try incognito or private mode of the browsers.

If I’m not replicating the problem properly, please detail how we can replicate the issue step by step using the parent theme and alls 3rd party plugins deactivated.

Hi @christian, thanks for looking at this for me. Could you tell me what page you tried editing? I have just noticed that a whole section of my website is no longer loading up the correct pages. Take a look at this page and try any of the links:

I tested my sites and I couldn’t replicate the issue.

For your site, I see you’ve not updated X yet. I see the Cornerstone version is 6.0.5 but X is 9.0.4. Please always ensure X and Cornerstone is up to date so they’re compatible.
