No mobile button/hamburger?

Hi,

On the X Theme, the header menu would automatically convert to a mobile button/hamburger as the screen went smaller.

But I’ve noticed that with Pro, the menu remains the same and it shrinks to where the menus are unreadable.

What should I do that the header menus automatically convert to mobile button, i.e. be responsive?

my URL is http://mountain-view.co.za/

Another question: how can I get access to my old support questions on previous X themeco support?

Thanks
W

Hello,

Thank you for writing in!

Thanks for writing in! You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Hi @john,

I’ve deactivated all my plugins but the problem remains. The only plugin which does not want to deactivate is bbPress.

You may have to create the mobile menu element. i had a similar problem

On your Menu Bar you have to create a second menu container.

The first menu container has your normal menu on it. you have to go to ‘Customise’ on that container, and check the 'Hide During Breakpoints" for the smaller 3 sizes

On the second new container you put a new element on, say ‘Navigation Collapsed’ (one of the ‘mobile’ menu options), and check the 'Hide During Breakpoints" for the larger 2 sizes.

So now, when your page gets narrower it will hide the ‘main’ menu element and then display the new mobile nav bar.

Hope that makes sense

Hi There,

In Pro you have the ability to style your header. What you need to do is add a Navigation Dropdown element to your header, this would serve as your mobile menu you can style this how you want it to look (not just a plain hamburger icon).

And because we only want this to show on mobile we need to hide this Navigation dropdown on extra-large and large screen ( https://prnt.sc/fxilv6).

Do the opposite to your Navigation Inline so it wont show on mobile.

You can still search the topics from the old forum on Google, just add themeco to your keyword. But eventually those old topics will be overrun by the new forum (APEX) overtime.

Hope it helps,
Cheers!

Thanks @liquidguru and @friech
