Moved website to new host, X-Pro won't load

See captures below. I am having a problem I never encountered before. I moved a client’ website from GoDaddy to a Bluehost staging site (temporary domain). When I try to load the X-Pro builder (Content, Headers, Footers, etc.) I get a “URL Not Found 404 error”. Also, on the X Validation page, it says the version is not validated, so I pasted the X-Pro license into the field and entered it. At the top, it says “Congratulations, your site is now updated”, however, it still shows that the site is not validated.

I double checked the database to make certain that all of the entries have been updated with the new domain name, but no luck. I’m thinking I should delete the X-Pro theme and Child theme and re-install, but I am concerned I might lose the work that’s been done to date with X-Pro.

Any thoughts?

Hello @mcaravaglia,

Thanks for writing in!

Please go to Settings > Permalinks and update your permalink setting other than the default. Save your changes and test the site again by going to Pro > Theme Options or Pro > Content.

For the validation process, you may be having location issues. Check this documentation to resolve it:

Kindly let us know how it goes.

Thank you so much. I never would have figured this one out! The permalinks were actually correctly set to “post name”, but I changed it, saved and then changed it back to post name and everything works beautifully. In fact, it also fixed the licensing issue.

Best,
Michael
