Mobile Menu Requires Double Tap on both Android and IOS devices

Hello, my website is ibjja.com, and I’m running the Pro theme.

For years now, the mobile menu will not open unless tapped 2-5 times. Looking at other messages on the forum, this seems to be a relatively common issue. I was hoping this would be resolved in an update but no such luck yet.

It seems like the button depresses on the first tap, but doesn’t open unless tapped an additional 1-4 times.

Is there something I can do to resolve this?

Hello @JamesClingerman,

Thanks for writing in! I noticed that it takes a few seconds to load your site completely. Be advised that you will need to make sure to load all the page resources before you can trigger the mobile menu. This may be the reason why you need to tap a few times while the page is still loading.

I would highly recommend that you optimize your site so that it would load fast. You might want to check out some of these tips:

Best Regards.

I optimized the website based on the specifications you provided and I saw no improvement on the issue with the mobile menu.

Is there a way I can move the functionality to the top of the loading priority? Or is there anything else I can do for this?

Hi @JamesClingerman,

I have checked your website on Safari browser in iPhone 15 through the Browserstack and found that the Hamburger menu is working correctly after the site completely loads. You need to wait to load the full site to click into the menu, and that is why my colleague suggested optimizing the site.

Thanks

I understand.

Hello @JamesClingerman,

Regretfully, there isn’t an option to set the loading property, and website optimization or performance tuning falls outside the scope of our support. If you’d like to optimize your page speed, I recommend hiring a third-party developer or subscribing to our product Boost, which offers dedicated assistance to improve your site’s speed and performance.

Thanks for understanding
