Is it possible to add a banner underneath main menu in 2 languages?

I use Polylang for a bilingual site. How can I add a color banner with text but one for each language, in other words for each of the 2 top nav menus? Thank you for help.

  1. According to this Need help with top banner and menu again it seems that if I create a banner for each language, I should be able to place a banner on top of or below each of the top nav. So instead of ‘x_after_view_global__nav-primary’ could I change the code to each of the nav for each of the two languages (and the corresponding banner image)? If so, what would the codes be instead of “global__nav-primary”?

    .x-topbar {
    background: url(your image link here) no-repeat;
    padding:20% 0px;
    }
    as a solution, but instead of “.x-topbar” could I point to each of the 2 top bars instead?

I hope this makes sense. I’m just tying to figure this out. Also will reach out to Polylang.

If having 2 separate banners is too complicated, I will have one bilingual one. I would appreciate if you could give me the code for that.

Hello Cindy,

Modifying the header on the X theme requires custom development. Be advised that our support only covers getting the theme set up, bug fixes, and minor cosmetic changes. What you need requires something more custom which falls under customization which is beyond the scope of our support already. We highly recommend that you upgrade your X theme to the Pro theme. With the help of the Pro theme’s Header Builder capability, you do not need to code anything. You can use the builder to create two bars in your header and have more control over what elements you want to add to your header. You can check. out our documentation to know more about the Header builder.
