Please see the screenshot. How do I get rid of all the HTML in the snippet? Using Pro latest version. Just want the writing without the [cscontent] crap.
Hi @Simon_royle,
Thanks for reaching out.
It mostly happens if the Cornerstone plugin is not installed or any of the Pro or X is not activated while viewing the page created using the Page Builder. If that is not the case, I would suggest you please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:
– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password
To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.
Thanks
Please see secure note attached. I have cornerstone plugin installed and Pro is activated.
Hello @Simon_royle,
Your page does not have much of a content.
- see the image in the secure note below.
This means that only the Cornerstone Builder shortcodes are present on the page which is currently visible to the snippet preview. To get around this, you will need to use Manual Excerpts for pages. Perhaps this old thread can help you:
Best Regards.
It’s the same on pages with a lot of content.
Hey @Simon_royle,
We’re sorry for all the confusion. What you’re seeing is the Meta Description area. Out of the box, WordPress, outputs the raw content in its editor as the Meta Description rather than the frontend output or output of the shortcodes. You would really have that problem if you have shortcodes in your content regardless of plugin, not just Pro.
You will need to use an SEO plugin to edit the meta description for each of your pages. This is an industry-standard practice. Regretfully, since this is beyond our theme’s control, we cannot assist you with this.
You might want to consider signing up to our One plan where we can answer WordPress questions. Our theme support is limited to our themes and the bundled plugins only.
Thanks.
