How to change default values of padding and margin for the sections?

How to change default values of padding and margin for the sections so the values that the editor enter on the GUI are still working?

We found the solution but seems it does not work:

Our function for the ‘cs_element_section_update_defaults’ action is correctly triggered and passed array is modified with our new default values for the padding. Even though, nothing changed in the cornerstone editor or in the Front-End.

We also tried to create a new empty page and add new section. It still has old Cornerstone default values for the padding.

Hi @dasbios,

Thank you for writing in, you can actually change the default configuration of a section or any element without customization, to do this. First, configure a section with settings that you want to be the default, then save that section as a preset

Then navigate to Template Manager, there you’ll see a settings icon on the lower-left corner. In template manager settings, you can set a preset to be the default of an element/section.

Is there a way to apply new default values cross site to all existing sections that do not have custom values?

Hi @dasbios,

No, unfortunately, this method only works for the new sections and elements that you will add. The ones that you already added will not be affected and you need to go and set the preset for them manually.
