How to add a Button in the nav bar with X theme?

I’m trying to add a button for my nav bar to the left of my search bar. When I isolate the menu item in CSS it appears as this.

I want the style to show up on the text itself. How do I go about fixing this? Here is my URL:

Thank you for reaching out to us. Since you’re using X, adding a button directly in the menu isn’t possible, you can however convert any menu item into a button using custom CSS. To do this, please follow this thread Navigation Bar - highlight one menu item
