How do you change the background colour while editing in cornerstone?

Since the update the page builder background is grey (see image) which makes it hard to edit colours on my website, especially because I use grey boxes. How do I change that back to white?

Hi Shannon,

Thank you for reaching out to us. You can change the background color of the theme via Theme Options > Layout and Design > Background Color:

Also please check the background color set to your Sections and change them to white if they are set to grey.

Hope this helps!

Hi, I meant in the editor, not the frontend and how it looks to viewers, on the backend when I’m editing my page, it’s grey, how to I change that to white? It’s even worse when I change it to dark theme. (see image)

Hi @weedmama,

I see what you mean. What do you have set for the background color Nabeel mentioned above? It could be transparent which means the front end would be white (browser default) but the iframe itself is picking up the base background color of the Cornerstone app. Setting your background to white should fix this and shouldn’t effect the front end since it’s already white. Meanwhile we’ll see what changed there and try to get things back to a 1:1 live preview in that regard.

That worked, thanks! It was set to transparent

Ok great! Thanks for confirming.

I have implemented a fix for this by applying a white background to the iframe container to match the frontend as @alexander mentioned above. That being said, we would recommend using a set color for the base background as opposed to transparent, just to be as explicit as possible to avoid potential situations like this. Cheers!
