Full Page Images

Hi - I just bought this theme and am getting very frustrated. I want full page images. Full width, full height, and no background on the header. Parallax as you scroll.

Like this: https://gregoryandrenee.com/

It seems to be very difficult in this theme and I don’t see an invisible background option that changes to having a background after the parallax finishes.

I’m not a developer and don’t want to have to write a bunch of custom code to make it work.

Hey There,

Thanks for writing in!

1.) To accomplish what you have in mind, please create your page first in Cornerstone. You will need to use “Blank - No Container | Header, Footer” page template. To know more about the page templates in the theme, please check this out: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/features-page-templates/50/1

2.) Once you have built the page using Cornerstone, to make the section fullscreen, please click the section and make sure that you added a min-height: 100vh in the style field if you are using classic section or find the “Customize” tab and insert min-height: 100vh as inline css.

3.) To have parallax effect, it can be enabled in your section settings assuming that the advance mode is enabled which I already pointed out in the other thread you responded here: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/full-page-sections/42245/2

4.) And to make the navbar color transparent color or a solid color when you scroll the page, please check out this thread: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/transparant-navbar-with-solid-color-when-scrolling/16165

Hope this helps.

Will you ever build this into the theme? It’s a lot of setup!

The header is now transparent, but its not switching to white when I scroll.

Also the text in the header is white when transparent and then should switch to grey when the header turns back to white.

Hey Amanda,

Regretfully, there is no feature in X that will make the Navbar’s background change to white when it hits a certain element. You will need a custom script for that which we could not create as part of our support service. It’s also not recommended since you’re not a developer.

Overall though, this requires some setting up unlike other ready to use themes. That is because, X and Pro provides flexibility. That is why you need to actually build. Other themes are static. They only do one thing. I believe a full height option is available in other builders. But, it does not have the flexibility of Cornerstone or Pro’s Content Builder so there’s a trade-off between flexibility and ease of setup.

There is currently no plans for this type of design in X. This is achievable in Pro without custom coding. I checked your sample site and I could replicate it with Pro. Not the exact copy but close. But, if you’re looking for a no setup method though, regretfully, that is not possible.

Thank you for understanding.
