Facebook sharing problem

Hi guys,

My website is nearly finished and can only express my gratitude for all your help.

I have tried to share the page on my facebook page and was getting the following errors and wondered if you could help.

1. I ran the debugger and it stated the following

Missing Required Property
The ‘og:type’ property is required, but not present.
Inferred Property
The ‘og:url’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.
Share App ID Missing
The ‘fb:app_id’ property should be explicitly provided, Specify the app ID so that stories shared to Facebook will be properly attributed to the app. Alternatively, app_id can be set in url when open the share dialog.
Inferred Property
The ‘og:image’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.

2. Also how can i change the ‘og:description’ to taylor it to my site ?

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! You seem to forgot to write the url of your site. Are you referring to this url: https://www.theglowto.com/ ? To resolve your issue, you will need to disable the default X Open Graph settings in Appearance > Customizer > Social. X outputs standard Open Graph tags for your content. You need to disable this and let Yoast SEO plugin handle the open graph.

Hi there yes that was the URL.

That worked great and for the second question, how would i change the ‘og:description’ to change it to taylor the writing on my website.

Thanks for updating in! The og:description is the same as the meta description which you can edit in Yoast SEO settings.
